Primary Contact Details:
Physio based bike fitting in the French Alps, fitting since 2011. One of only two level 3 fitters in France. Fits are based on the holistic interaction with our bicycle, understanding you as a rider first before observing you on the bike. I don't fit to a prescribed set of angles as this doesn't allow for individual variations in extrinsic and intrinsic factors that will determine the fit, from your medical history to any current presenting issues.
I bring in my years of experience and knowledge as a physio to offer a more complete fitting process. Relevant strength and conditioning exercises are often advised at the end of the session that will improve the interaction with your bicycle, relative to your discipline and presenting issues, for long-term performance, comfort and health. Asymmetry is normal and we could spend a lifetime trying to chase perfect symmetry. Instead we need to chase pain-free function.
I also bring in 20+ years of off-road endurance racing into the fitting process. First-hand experience of what it's like to be chasing comfort and performance on the bike as well as managing associated aches and pains as well as rehabbing from injury. I am still out there too as a 50+ athlete, riding and racing long distance, having to gradually adapt my bicycle position over the years in line with my changing body and degenerative lumbar disc disease.
Correct fitting shoes too are a key aspect to comfort and performance as well as foot helath. I work with Lake Cycling shoes to find the correct fitting shoes. As a very wide and square footed rider, Lake shoes have been a revelation for long-distance comfort!
I practice what I preach as a physio and strength & endurance coach.
