My name is Matt Heywood and after 25 years in the Automotive Engineering Sector, I established Precision Cycle Fit in Southa, Warwickshire to provide a high-quality, professional Bike Fitting service for all types of Cyclists and Triathletes, riding all types of bikes over all types of terrain.

​A bike fit is beneficial to all cyclists, not just those who want to race. So, if you are new to cycling and have not yet found that optimum fit, or highly experienced but find that changing levels of flexibility, fitness, strength or priorities are no longer aligned with your existing position, then we can help. Of course, if you do want to race, we can assist with that as well!

Not only have I been involved in solving some of the most complex engineering problems around, but I have been riding my bike since the age of 4, racing since 16 and have twice represented Great Britain in the Xterra MTB Triathlon World Championships. I've also owned hundreds of bike, commuted through the depths of winter and toured extensively in Great Britain, New Zealand, North America and Borneo. Its safe to say I've got experience of most types of bike and riding.

In addition to bike fitting, we can also offer impartial advice on what size, make and model of bike to buy. This includes performance enhancing equipment. I'm very keen on efficiency and am pretty hot on what "watt-savings" matter (I have worked in Aerodynamics), and what don't: instead of spending £000's on wheels, why not get the same saving from better tyres, or chain waxing, or different clothing...?
