Alex found his love for bike fitting while being assigned in London for work in finance. Alex initially started off with a folding bike as a commuter for work, but felt like something was missing, and so he eventually got into road cycling. After several months of trial and error to get himself properly fitted on the road bike, issues and discomfort lingered on the bike. Eventually, he decided to seek professional help through Spencer of Personal Bike Fit in Kensington. It was when Alex discovered how much a bike can make a difference in one’s cycling, not to mention the introduction to the local cycling community.
The passion for bike fitting was born, and Alex sought the best education available in the UK -International Bike Fitting Institute (IBFI) programs master by bike fitter Tony Corke of Torke Cycling and Charlie Holt, a level 4 IBFI Certified Bike fitter/ Chartered Physiotherapist of Bike Fit Physio. Following the courses, Alex had teamed up with Emannouil (Manos) Kazanis of Cretan Velofit and a member of the Racing Team, London Knights as they held bike fitting sessions at Tailored 4 U Physio in Acton, London.
Now back in Manila, Wattworks PH looks to share its bike fitting expertise to the Philippine cycling community. Wattworks PH was founded with the spirit of community and education. Wattworks PH continues to strive for constant learning to bring world-class bike fitting available with the vision to grow the cycling community in the country.
