BMC Lab Mikołów

BMC LAB Mikołów – Advanced Bike Fitting & Cycling Biomechanics Studio

BMC LAB Mikołów is a specialist bike fitting studio in Poland, focused on the individual interaction between the cyclist and the bicycle.

Our approach goes beyond simply adjusting saddle height, handlebar position or cleat alignment. We view bike fitting as a multidisciplinary process that integrates cycling biomechanics, functional movement assessment, exercise science, strength and conditioning, and real-world coaching experience.

The studio is led by Krzysztof Ramczyk, IBFI Level 3 Certified Bike Fitter, personal trainer and strength & conditioning coach. This multidisciplinary background allows us to analyse cycling position from a broader perspective — not only in terms of bicycle geometry, but also in relation to the rider’s anatomy, mobility, movement strategies, physical capabilities, training history, previous injuries and performance demands.

We believe there is no universal “ideal” cycling position.

Every rider represents a unique combination of anthropometry, mobility, stability, motor control, training status, cycling discipline and individual goals. For this reason, every fitting process is tailored to the person in front of us — whether they are a recreational cyclist, long-distance rider or performance-oriented athlete.

Our bike fitting process may include:

• comprehensive rider interview and needs analysis
• functional and movement assessment
• dynamic analysis of cycling position
• assessment of rider–bike interaction under pedalling load
• saddle position, support and stability optimisation
• cleat setup and foot–pedal interface analysis
• cockpit, handlebar and reach optimisation
• assessment of joint kinematics and movement strategies
• pressure distribution analysis where appropriate
• bike sizing and pre-purchase consultation
• position optimisation for road, gravel, MTB and other cycling disciplines

At BMC LAB Mikołów, we do not chase textbook angles or force riders into predefined positional models. Technology and measurement provide valuable information, but they are tools — not the final objective.

The aim is to develop a cycling position that is biomechanically appropriate, dynamically sustainable and specific to the individual rider.

A position must work not only for a few seconds during measurement, but also under real pedalling loads, during prolonged riding and within the actual physical capabilities of the cyclist.

For some riders, the priority is comfort and the reduction of position-related symptoms. For others, it is improved stability, movement efficiency, aerodynamic optimisation or the ability to sustain performance over long distances. In every case, the process begins with understanding the rider.

Our philosophy is based on a simple principle:

We do not fit the rider to a theoretical model. We fit the bicycle to the individual rider.

Individual rider. Individual movement. Individual solution.
